Alison Hammond has broken her silence as she suffered a double loss at the National Television Awards. The presenter was up for an individual gong at the star-studded ceremony which took place on Tuesday night at London's O2 Arena while This Morning was also nominated.
But This Morning, who had been on a winning streak having taken home the gong at the awards ceremony every year since 2011, lost its best daytime show title at the 2023 NTAs as The Repair Shop claimed the prestigious prize with host Jay Blades making the acceptance speech.Meanwhile, Alison also missed out on the 'presenter' award after Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly picked up the silverware for the 22nd year in a row.
She added: "Thanks so much for all your love support and votes and allowing us to be there . I’ll be honest it was so nice watching the whole show with @joeldommett in our seats. Sometimes failing can be your biggest success. Well done to @therepairshoptv and @antanddec, you all totally deserved the win."
