Bungie debuted its Final Shape/Season of the Witch reveal livestream today, and talked a bit about what comes after. Here’s what we learned:
The Final Shape is out February 27, 2024, similar in timing to the last few. No surprises there.
The Traveler is “asking us for help” so it’s not dead. The Witness wants everything in the universe to be frozen perfection, which is The Final Shape. This is bad. There is a new, smaller Tormentor type enemy, Subjugators. They have Strand and Stasis powers and buff enemies. No Hive Ghosts to pop here.When you first start, the expansion is solely focused on the campaign and campaign only, and when that’s done, the full Pale Heart will open up to explore. It’s confirmed you will indeed face The Witness in the raid itself.
