There are 'no safety concerns' in the county's schools - but several remain closed
Education bosses in Lancashire say there are no safety concerns relating to the use of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete in the county's schools.
The other school known to have taken action is Bispham Endowed Primary School where the school hall has been closed as a precautionary matter. However, in this case pupils are still in attendance and only using other areas of the school. "We were made aware over the weekend that the Lancaster Diocese has instructed Our Lady’s Catholic High School in Fulwood to close for two days pending further investigation. The presence of RAAC has been identified in some areas of the school. While we are not the responsible body for the school, we will work with the Diocese should they require support with this matter.
