Burnley's latest developments including new homes, shopping centre openings and skate park
Buoyed on by the continuing success of Burnley FC the borough has a population of around 94,000 people and as well as Burnley the area also includes Padiham, Hapton, Worsthorne, Briercliffe and Cliviger. Surrounded by rural countryside and bordered by Hyndburn, Rossendale and the Ribble Valley the borough is as diverse as it is traditional.
In more welcome planning news Burnley Boys And Girls Club in Barden Lane want to build a new skate park, two-storey main building and create a new 3G sports pitch. Burnley Council’s executive has also confirmed the grant of a new lease for the club including additional land for the extension. A decision is yet to be made but neither highways and Cliviger Parish Council have raised any objections.
