He’s scheduled to announce his commitment on Jan. 31. His sophomore brother Maliek, who started at safety for Allen and holds a scholarship offer from Arkansas, has also enrolled at Emerson.Mike Hawkins Sr.
Hawkins will join a Frisco Emerson team which went 9-2 in its first season as a varsity program in 2022. Emerson is coached by Kendall Miller, the president-elect of the Texas High School Coaches Association. Hawkins previously played for Lee Wiginton at Allen, the current president of THSCA.
