A 10-foot-long alligator killed an elderly Florida woman after it dragged her into a lake while she walked her dog. Witnesses said the alligator emerged from the water and first went after the dog before turning its attention to the elderly woman.
The attack occurred around 12 p.m. at the Spanish Lakes Fairways community in St. Lucie County, when residents said the large alligator emerged from the water and snatched her, according to a report.The alligator first went after the dog before turning its attention to the elderly woman, witnesses said.
Trappers discovered the alligator, estimated to weigh between 600 to 700 lbs, at the bottom of the lake, where it was captured. "Snagged him on the bottom. He never surfaced.
