Amazon has increased the minimum spend for free delivery, according to Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert team
Amazon has raised the minimum spend required to qualify for free deliveries from £25 to £35. For those who shop at Amazon without a Prime membership, a minimum spend of £35 is now necessary to get free delivery.
They further added: "Amazon has blamed the increase which we were first alerted to by users of the MoneySavingExpert.com Forum on "a number of external factors influencing shipping costs"." An Amazon Prime membership is priced at £8.99 a month or £95 a year. If same-day delivery is available for a Prime item, orders typically need to be placed before midday to ensure the package arrival by 10pm, reports Birmingham Live. The fee for non-Prime members is £5.99.
"Prime members will continue to benefit from unlimited fast, free One-Day Delivery on millions of items regardless of order value."
