Invincible season 2 is finally here, with the highly-anticipated continuation of Amazon Prime Video's beloved animated superhero series currently releasing on the streaming service. Invincible season 2 already has a pretty full plate, with it having to follow up on Invincible's battle with Omni-Man in Chicago while also introducing an all-new multiversal threat: Angstrom Levy.
Upon arriving in Atlantis in the show, Aquaria explains that the marriage law had been abolished a long time ago, with Mark instead having to fight a sea monster as a punishment. However, the original Invincible comics handle this event a little differently. Upon arriving in Atlantis in the comics, Mark discovers that he has to first fight the sea monster in order to earn Aquaria's hand in marriage.
Invincible's Comic Changes Improve Mark's Atlantis Story Although the Invincible show has been fairly accurate to the comics, the changes regarding the Atlantis story actually make the arc better. Firstly, Mark's escape from Atlantis seemed kind of convenient in the comics, as the random decision for a fish to announce his love for the queen is what allows him to escape.
