What to watch in Amazon’s earnings: The company has warned it could return to the big-spending ways of the past after taking a breather in 2018
Amazon.com Inc. is scheduled to announce its first-quarter earnings after the market closes on Thursday. Here’s what you need to know:
EARNINGS FORECAST: Analysts polled by FactSet on average expect Amazon to earn $4.70 a share, compared with $3.27 a year ago. The company forecast an operating income range between $2.3 billion and $3.3 billion, compared with $1.9 billion a year ago. Analysts expect $3.1 billion.
