Amazon has long been working on finding new ways to deliver packages faster and more efficiently, including working with third-party delivery companies, increasing its warehouse space and making other moves. The small businesses do not need delivery experience to apply for the program. But Amazon said businesses need to be able to make deliveries daily, deliver packages with existing staff and vehicles, receive packages daily and store them in a secure area until delivery.Hundreds of corporate Amazon workers upset about the company’s environmental impact, recent layoffs and a return-to-office mandate protested at its Seattle headquarters.

Manteca man Andrew Christopher Watson arrested in shooting of Amazon big rig driverAuthorities have made an arrest in the shooting death and crash of an Amazon big rig driver along I-5 in Lathrop earlier this month. On Saturday, search warrants were served on the suspect in Manteca. There, authorities arrested 29-year-old Manteca resident Andrew Christopher Watson on suspicion of homicide, according to the CHP.
