With Amsterdam arriving on digital tomorrow, Screen Rant has an exclusive clip from the bonus content, which highlights John David Washington's performance as well as the praises David O. Russell & Margot Robbie heap on him:
Screen Rant can exclusively present a new behind-the-scenes clip from the home release of Amsterdam, which focuses on actor John David Washington and his contributions to the project. The genre-blending crime dramedy from 20th Century Studios and New Regency, which makes its way to digital tomorrow before becoming available on Blu-ray and DVD on December 6, is a star-studded affair from filmmaker David O. Russell.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Amsterdam sees Russell join forces with Christian Bale once more, after the critical success of The Fighter and American Hustle. Their frequent collaborations have borne plenty of fruit for the entertainment industry, and Amsterdam in particular gestated for several years before culminating in the action-packed joyride that was recently released in cinemas.
Now, with the digital and physical release of Amsterdam, audiences will get an even closer peek behind the curtain of not only Washington's performance but the story as a whole. The digital release as well as the 4K, Blu-ray, DVD versions all contain a special feature called "Welcome To Amsterdam," which contains exclusive conversations with Russell about his creative process and casting choices, as well as with the actors about becoming their characters.
Amsterdam follows in the footsteps of previous New Regency releases such as The Northman and Little Women, which delighted in carefully transporting audiences to another time and telling historical stories with a twist. 20th Century Studios has also found great success this year with films like Prey and Barbarian blending genres in unexpected ways.
