When the going gets tough, the tough gets a cease and desist letter.
We've all had that one workout session that made you want to sue the gym for bodily harm and emotional distress, right?But, if you're a world-renowned comedian with millions in the bank, then you can actually just get your lawyer to draft up a cease and desist so your personal trainer can't inflict such terror on you again.
I mean, to be honest, I can fully relate — after walking on the treadmill for more than 12 seconds, I also can't perform simple daily tasks like walking in a straight line. But then came the kicker:"Your blatant disregard of Ms. Schumer's physical well-being can only be interpreted as a deliberate effort to cause Ms. Schumer emotional distress, potential physical injury and lost revenue. It may even be determined to be a vioation of her human rights."I, too, have felt like a gym workout has violated my human rights.
The letter added that the personal trainer, AJ Fisher, should"cease and desist such torment" and revise the sessions to ease"such pain and suffering".
