"When you come in in January, especially for somebody of Timo’s standing, he’s a mature player, he’s not a young player we brought in to develop, we’re bringing him in to make an impact.
The former Chelsea player's contributions in a Spurs shirt have certainly been telling, with both of his assists and recent goal bringing his side level in their respective games.Beyond this, the German's pace and direct style of play have seen him adapt well to Postecoglou's attacking brand of football.
Werner himself admitted he is enjoying his time at Spurs, after making just eight league appearances for Leipzig in the first-half of the season, a record he is on course to break with 12 games remaining of this Premier League campaign.
