A killer who made a violent rap video hours before he stabbed a Blackburn mum to death on her own doorstep will be sentenced for murder today .
Anthony Stinson, 31, claimed he was suffering mental illness and believed he had seen the devil when he killed Charlotte Wilcock on the doorstep of her home in March of this year. But when officers investigating the murder looked at Stinson's phone they found a video he and a friend had made shortly before the brutal attack, in which he spoke about killing someone.Charlotte, 31, was a complete stranger to Stinson.
CCTV showed Stinson, of Queen Victoria Street, Blackburn, speaking normally to a shopkeeper as he bought cigarettes and alcohol, 15 minutes before the attack. Stinson now faces a life sentence. The Honorary Recorder of Preston, Judge Robert Altham will set the minimum term he must serve before he is eligible to apply for parole. The hearing is expected to start at 10am.A man who murdered a lone mother-of-two in her Lancashire home as her infant child slept upstairs rapped about killing someone just an hour before the attack, police said.
Anthony Stinson, 31, came across Charlotte Wilcock on the evening of March 3 as she smoked a cigarette on her doorstep in Primrose Terrace, Blackburn, before kicking her and stabbing her to death with a Stanley knife in her hallway. Ms Wilcock’s 15-month-old daughter was left alone upstairs until police officers discovered her the next day.
