The Lámh Dhearg clubman was part of the Ulster squad for last weekend's Inter-Provincial series in Croke Park with seven new rules showcased aimed at improving Gaelic football

Antrim star Marc Jordan has warned that changing too much, too much might lead to unintended consequences for Gaelic Football.

The initial feedback from the players involved seemed to be in favour of some rules, especially the solo and go and the three versus three structure. “But, I think seven rule changes are a lot to bring in. I think it could be too much, too soon to be honest. “There was also a lot of congestion around the kickout. At lower levels, you might find boys congrating around one kick and that might slow the game down.

The Antrim wing-back hopes the ‘three up’ rule is adopted and passed, even though he doesn’t think it necessarily lead to an open, free-flowing game. He added: “There could still be a lot of basketball and some of the Ulster lads spoke about at the weekend. It is manic if you turn the ball over. We found we were kicking the ball straight away if we won a turnover, but a lot of the kicks were wayward.
