The pair met shortly after McRae moved to Los Angeles to join his then-girlfriend, and while “the relationship was a disaster,” asputs it, “the music that followed wasn’t.” Taylor-Joy has gone on to become one of their biggest fans.
Importantly for Taylor-Joy, McRae is also a big reader. “I said to my partner the other day that he was my hobby,” she told Britishlast week. “I see reading as something that I have to do. He loved it because he’s the same. I’ve finally found someone who will happily sit in silence with me reading. We’re basically 80 years old and seven at the same time and it works really well.”
