'Appalling' police failed to tell man his partner had taken her own life and only found out after calling to check on her
A coroner has criticised an 'appalling' police force who a family claim failed in their duty of care to a suicidal mum.

The police located her in the early hours of November 21 but she wouldn't allow them to tell her family where she was and it later transpired she had checked into a hotel.
After the incident when Camille left the hospital in Leeds the Home Treatment Team based in Lancashire, who had been providing regular mental health support to her following Ethan's death, asked West Yorkshire Police to tell them where she was and the circumstances of the incident but they refused to do so.
