Apple Inc. is reportedly planning to launch bundled subscription offerings alongside the next iPhone line as early as October
Apple Inc. is planning to launch bundled subscription offerings alongside the next iPhone line as early as October, reports, in a move to encourage customers to subscribe to multiple Apple services and decrease the tech giant's reliance on device sales.
Higher-tier bundles will also reportedly add a soon-to-be-unveiled virtual fitness service from Apple. The service will offer virtual workout classes through an app for the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, rivaling similar services from Peloton and Nike. There are no specifics yet on pricing, and Apple's plans, and the structure of the bundles, could change. It's unclear what the bundle discounts would mean in terms of Apple's payments to record labels for music streamed on Apple Music.Apple has experimented with bundled subscriptions before: It unveiled its first services bundle last year, offering students with Apple Music subscriptions a free Apple TV+ subscription.
