Lara Du Preez is reaching her limit with Max Salvador on Below Deck Mediterranean season 8. Are these two deckhands the next crew mates to feud?
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Deckhand Lara Du Preez is slowly becoming frustrated with new deckhand Max Salvador on Below Deck Mediterranean; are they the next two to feud? Below Deck Med season 8 started on shaky ground when Chief Steward Tumi Mhlongo and Stew Kyle Viljoen were stuck in customs due to visa issues. However, by episode 3, the crew was all there, including Max. He joined the crew later as well, following the departure of Bosun Ruan Irving.
It seems as though Lara feels she is putting in most of the work when it comes to working with Max. For example, while preparing the charter guests' lunch day on land, Max left Lara and stew Natalya Scudder to do the rest of the work while he went back to the yacht to take his break. Lara is understandably frustrated as she feels she is putting in more work than him, yet she doesn't stop to take her breaks.
While Lara is simply trying to get the daily work done on time, this may cause a rift between her and Max. He clearly doesn't appreciate how fast-paced everyone is going, and it seems like he works better when he takes his time. Lara is used to working a certain way, and so is the rest of the deck team, so when she sees Max moving so slowly, she sees it as him being lazy.
Will Lara Cause Max To Get Fired? Lara, Haleigh, and Luka already had a quick conversation about Max's work ethic in a recent Below Deck Med episode. Even when Luka suggested that Max and Haleigh work on a certain part of the boat together while docking, Haleigh was not happy about it. She's also noticed the way Max works and clearly didn't feel comfortable working one-on-one together. Haleigh, similar to Lara, has noticed Max's lack of a work ethic.
