Arlington hosts a Breast Cancer Awareness Month health fair Oct. 14 at the Bob Duncan Center.
. COVID-19 boosters and flu shots will be provided by Tarrant County Public Health, Methodist Mansfield and the Arlington Fire Department.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Event host and city council representative Nikkie Hunter said the health fair is a great opportunity for women who may have delayed scheduling their mammograms. “My goal for this event is to turn the Bob Duncan Center pink, and I encourage any resident needing these services to come out,” Hunter said. “I was a little bit late getting a mammogram myself due to the pandemic. I know I’m not the only person.”
Health Fair participants include Texas Health Resources, Moncrief Medical Center, Carter Blood Care, the American Heart Association, Metroplex Women’s Clinic, Solis Mammograms, Alzheimer’s Association, Active Family Wellness Center and Tricare Chiropractor.
