Arne Slot has been confirmed as Liverpool's new head coach as the Anfield club prepares for Jurgen Klopp's departure
Speculation first emerged last month linking Slot with the vacancy at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp will leave his role as Liverpool manager in the coming days and took charge of his final match in the 2-0 win over Wolves on Sunday in the Premier League.
After spending three years in charge of Eredivisie club Feyenoord, Slot will now be making the switch to the Premier League to become Liverpool's new head coach. The title of 'head coach' follows a change in the structure of the club behind the scenes, which has been led by FSG's CEO of football Michael Edwards and new Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes.
The club also stated that the appointment of Slot as head coach will be officially confirmed upon the completion of a work permit.
