Two men are facing charges of second-degree murder, as well as other charges, in the death of a man whose body police discovered on Aug. 17 at a home in Jacksonville’s Riverside neighborhood.
On Wednesday, family members identified the man as Steven Lindsay, 73. On Tuesday, police announced the arrests of two men in his death.
Jenny Schwartz, Lindsay’s daughter, said she doesn’t understand why someone would want to harm her father. Investigators said his home was ransacked and personal belongings were taken. “It was unreal,” Schwartz said. “A lot of times, it still feels like a very bad dream that I’m trying to wake up from, but I just can’t. You never think something like this is going to happen to you or anyone that you know.”
