'Absolutely outstanding service' 🤪
A home shopping driver for Asda's Skelmersdale store has been praised for his "absolutely outstanding service" after coming to the rescue of a stranded hen party.
Stopping his van not long after the start of his shift, 59-year-old delivery driver Rob offered the helpless group cold bottles of water to 'save' them from dehydration. Temperatures in the area soared to more than 30C as the Met Office issued a red extreme heat alert. One of the stranded passengers, Helen, has since tweeted Asda's Service Team to thank Rob for his help. She said: "This guy saved us from dehydration.
In response, Asda's Service Team said: "Hi Helen, thank you so much for sending that through. It warms my heart to know that we have drivers like him working for us. I hope you stay safe in the heat."
