Jersey City spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said an off-duty police officer reported shots fired in the area of Grand and Woodward streets.

Jersey City police and the complaints said Corey Jamison drove himself and his brother to the Jersey City Medical Center in a stolen vehicle after the two were shot by Roe.

Police recovered the stolen vehicle and they also found 33 glassine bags of heroin in Esaw Jamison’s possession, the complaint said. Roe was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, two counts of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury, and other offenses.

Esaw Jamison was charged with multiple drug offenses, including possession and possession with intent to distribute.
