Aston Villa academy graduate Jacob Ramsey is most likely to be the club’s biggest summer sale,the expected signing of Ross Barkley could trigger a high-profile midfield sale with a deal for the Luton man now close.
Ramsey is a prime candidate to be “sacrificed”, sources say, as he is home-grown and would therefore bring in pure profit to the club’s accounts. Jacob’s brother, Aaron, was sold in a similar move last year alongside Cameron Archer and Jaden Philogene.Ramsey made just 21 appearances in total in the 2023-24 campaign, notching one goal and two assists.
