Chas McCormick was back in Pennsylvania for his brother’s wedding about an hour west of Citizens Bank Park last weekend and recreated his famous catch that saved Game 5 of the World Series and led to the hometown Phillies demise.

Houston Astros left fielder Chas McCormick does the Chas Chomp during the 2022 World Series Championship Parade Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, in downtown Houston.

As a groomsman in his older brother Sean’s wedding Friday in Downington, Pennsylvania, Chas made quite the entrance. Walking into the reception arm and arm with a bridesmaid, Chas jogged ahead as the bridesmaid pretended to swing a bat and hit a baseball, while Chas leaped into the air with his arm extended, pretending to make the catch.

The bride Rachael Fitzpatrick tweeted that Chas and the bridesmaid “won best entrance” of the wedding, even if there likely were Phillies fans in attendance who didn't want to relive their sports misery.
