PUBLISHED 5:03 PM CDT Jul. 23, 2022AUSTIN, Texas — Austin FC announced Saturday that the club and its midfielder, Cecilio Domínguez, have mutually agreed to end his MLS contract, effective July 23, 2022.July 23, 2022In April, the club announced his suspension following an investigation opened by the MLS into a possible domestic dispute that occurred with his partner. He was, however, reinstated in May after missing five games.
According to the club, Domínguez made 38 MLS appearances across the 2021 and 2022 MLS seasons. The Paraguayan was first signed to the club in Aug. 2020, as Austin’s first Designated Player.
