Austria’s deposed chancellor Sebastian Kurz has staged a comeback
after his conservative party won the largest share of votes in the general election on Sunday, according to exit polls, ushering a period of lengthy coalition talks that could spill into next year.
Mr. Kurz lost a vote of confidence in May amid public outrage around his then deputy, who was exposed in a secretly-recorded video offering public contracts to a woman he believed to be a Russian oligarch.
