The 27-year-old female driver of the Fiat and the 63-year-old male driver of the Honda were both taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh
Road policing officers were called to the A68 near Fala, 15 miles south-east of Edinburgh, at around 9.45pm on Sunday April 30 following reports of a crash between a white Honda CR-V and a black Fiat 500X. Ambulance crews were called to transport both drivers and the youngster to hospital.
Medics say the woman was taken to hospital as a "precaution". However, the Honda driver is in a "serious but stable" condition, according to a statement issued by Police Scotland on Monday.
