After less-than-overwhelming performances on offense the last few weeks, the Jaguars will need a big game from Trevor Lawrence in Saturday night's playoff clash with the Chargers.
He won't get an argument from Lawrence, who was 20 of 32 for 212 yards, but nine of 19 for 104 yards in the second half. The Jaguars gained a net of minus-1 yards in the fourth quarter and got bailed out by two field goals from Riley Patterson and"I think we've done what's needed to win the last three weeks," Lawrence said, correctly pointing out the bottom line."But you look at Houston [on Jan. 1] and last week ... definitely didn't play our best.
A 54-yard kickoff return by Agnew gave Lawrence a short field and he cut the margin to 10-7 with a 25-yard TD pass to Christian Kirk. The Jags had to settle for Patterson field goals in the second half after getting first downs to the Titans' 11 and 25, with Lawrence missing a wide-open Zay Jones in the end zone before the first one.
