Steve Smith dismissed by Stuart Broad after being tormented by England's Barmy Army with foul-mouthed chant
A late flurry of wickets, including that of Steve Smith, has given England a slight advantage going into the final day of the first Ashes Test against Australia.
Chasing 281 to win at Edgbaston, the visitors were left at 107-3 at stumps on day four with Stuart Broad getting what could be the key wicket of Smith, who was caught behind by Jonny Bairstow for a total of just six.
The former Aussie captain was greeted with repeated jeers of 'w*****' by the Barmy Army, who also tormented him with 'cried on the telly' chants in reference to his tearful apology for his part in theAnd the jeers may have had some effect with Smith posting scores of just 16 and six in both of his innings after nicking Broad's fine delivery.
