The former co-chairwoman of the Tories accused the party of displaying 'hypocrisy and double standards'
The former co-chairwoman of the Tory party and current House of Lords member said the party had displayed “hypocrisy and double standards in its treatment of different communities”. “This is a sad day for me. I am a Conservative and remain so but sadly the current Party are far removed from the Party I joined and served in Cabinet.
Baroness Warsi, has previously been critical of the party, resigning from the Government citing concerns that she was no longer able to support the Cameron Government’s policy on the escalation of violence in the Israel–Gaza conflict in 2014.
