Archbishop Mitty basketball player Makayla Moore has been named the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Feb. 21-27 after she received 8,066 votes at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
Menlo-Atherton wrestler Alexia Bensoussan finished second and Mountain View soccer player Sophia Sasaki took third.Moore, a Seattle University-bound senior, led all scorers with 25 points as Mitty beat Pinewood 66-54 for the Central Coast Section Open Division title.
