Toddler seen on live tv pointing gun at head. Beech Grove father arrested
father was taken into custody after a video broadcasted on live TV showed his toddler son walking around and waiving a handgun in the air.during the TV show’s live broadcast Saturday. He was identified as Shane Osborne and is facing a neglect of dependent charge, jail records show.
Osborne denied having a gun in the apartment and told officers he did not even have a toy gun inside his residence in the broadcast of the television show. Officers were leaving the apartment complex when they were approached by another neighbor, who alerted them to surveillance video of the child with the gun.
Police searched a bedroom closet and did not find the gun. An officer asked the child where he put the gun and the toddler assisted law enforcement in locating it, the affidavit states.
