Residents say they have been plagued by problems at the apartments for two years
Residents living in a South Belfast apartment block have said that the property has become "a safe haven for drug dealers" and that it is plagued by anti-social behaviour and rubbish.
They have also claimed that residents had to walk away from a residents group established by Housing Association Choice Housing who manage the property due to a lack of action being taken against the anti-social behaviour. "I cannot count the number of sleepless nights that I have had due to the constant problems and people banging on windows and doors, shouting at one another throughout the night."
"We are desperate to have these problems sorted but we are tired of constantly reporting them and seeing nothing being done to deal with them." "The Association’s privately financed Security Contractor, Insec Security, completes regular evening patrols at the scheme to identify and address anti-social behaviour and can capture these incidents on Bodycam. Tenants are also encouraged to contact Insec outside of Choice office hours to report anti-social behaviour or to request attendance at the scheme between patrols. We are not aware of any such incidents being identified in recent months.
