Sheila Chakravarti, a freelance photographer and volunteer at BAWA, also spoke about her lived experience to bring awareness of social exclusion and barriers faced by professional migrants.
"We are not just about looking after ourselves but we also address issues faced by the community we live in because we call this place our home", Ana added. BAWA has been donating food to the Belfast Homeless Services since the lockdown in 2020. They have so far donated over 700 homemade meals and over 2,000 sandwiches.
