The council will hear from local business owners affected by violence in the city
Belfast City Council has announced an emergency meeting in response to disorder in the city over the weekend following an anti-immigration protest.
During the special meeting, councillors are set to discuss a short motion condemning the violence and they will hear from local business owners affected. "We have called this meeting so political parties can come together and show a united front in the face of such wanton violence and disorder, the people of Belfast want their political leadership to represent them and the positive and progressive city that we all represent."
