Now that Halloween is over most have turned their attention to Christmas – but for one local grandmother it's been all about December 25 for the last few months.
Known locally as"Mary Christmas", the Belfast woman has completely transformed her home, on Valleyside Close just off theAnd it's not only Belfast folk getting enjoyment from her home, there have been some travel from Newtownards to catch a glimpse.Speaking to Belfast Live, Mary's daughter Sammyjo said:"Everybody says her house is like Santa's grotto.
"We started it around the end of September, start of October time. There was no notion of Halloween in our family because we all love Christmas so much. She has been doing this since we were children, and now we are grown up with our own children, and she is still doing it. "She literally started off with one Santa and one Christmas tree and now she is just adding more and more each year. We are still collecting items today. My mummy has seven grandchildren and they just love it. The second oldest grandchild has complex needs, and doesn't walk or talk, but she absolutely loves it.
"Mummy is obsessed with Christmas, she really just loves it. People are travelling from all over to see the house, and to call and get photos outside. We're more than happy for people to come because she just wants to spread some more joy to families."
