It's in a bid to help families amid the cost of living crisis
Hazelwood Integrated College on the Whitewell Road made the announcement on January 2 in a bid to help students and their families amid the rising cost of living crisis.
The school partnered up with the Belfast Charitable Society, whose donation means all pupils will receive free hot meals this month.In a post on social media, a spokesperson for Hazelwood Integrated College said: "We are fully aware that current economic times are providing challenges for our families.
"As a small token of our appreciation to our families, we would like to provide free hot meals for all our students from Thursday, January 5th to Tuesday, January 31, 2023. "Please be reassured that we remain committed to doing our very best to provide our students with the best possible care and education as we can.
"We are very grateful to our partner, the Belfast Charitable Society, for their kind donation, which has enabled us to provide free school meals to all students for the month of January 2023."For all the latest news, visit the Belfast Live homepage here.
