Conall McGinn, 21, was one of eight students from Harvard to attend the festival
A student from North Belfast took part in performing in Harvard University's first-ever show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The Belfast man is one of eight students from Harvard who took the prestigious university to the festival for the first time to perform 'Atalanta', a new musical by Harvard student Mira-Rose Kingsbury Lee.Speaking to Belfast Live about performing at the festival, Conall McGinn said: "Retelling this incredible story at the Edinburgh Fringe alongside my friends from the Harvard Drama Club has been an amazing experience.
"My family came over from Belfast to watch the show on Wednesday which was a lovely surprise. All of us over here in Edinburgh from Harvard Drama have already been talking about where we can put ‘Atalanta the Musical’ on when we're back in the States. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to find a venue in New York to host us this Autumn, which would be amazing."
Mira-Rose Kingsbury Lee, who is studying microbiology and history at Harvard, says: "It’s such a privilege to be bringing Atalanta across the pond, and making Harvard’s debut at the Edinburgh Fringe. I’ve been writing Atalanta for about 10 years, almost as long as I’ve been a Fringe festival-goer.
