After months of waiting, Wellingborough residents can finally enjoy one of their most-loved summer attractions. Splash Park at Wellingborough Embankment is set to reopen this Saturday after a decision from North Northamptonshire Council’s Executive.

Throughout the discussions, the users of this popular and important attraction have been at the forefront of our minds and we have worked as quickly as possible to open the site.
Its continued closure during the early June hot weather angered many Wellingborough residents. Coun Martin Griffiths, former Wellingborough Council leader, started a petition to get the park reopened.
