Mansfield was one of the first seats in Labour's Red Wall to fall in 2017
Ben Bradley has lost his job as Mansfield 's MP after Labour reclaimed another part of its once formidable 'Red Wall'. Bradley, who lost the East Midlands Mayor race to Labour's Claire Ward in May, suffered another electoral defeat at the hands of Keir Starmer's party as it celebrated a landslide in the July 4 general election .
The contest had largely been seen as a a two-horse race despite the presence of Reform UK's Matt Warnes and six other candidates. However, Mr Warnes ended up securing 9,385 votes, coming third place but causing significant damage to the Tory's vote count.
