Ben Shephard returned to the ITV show This Morning on Monday alongside Cat Deeley
As the show kicked off, Ben and co-host Cat Deeley discussed their summer activities, leading to Ben revealing that his son would be leaving the family home to go to university.
"And it took seven minutes for each person to go up and seven minutes to come down," Cat interjected. "It was hot, it was windy, there was no water, and I needed a pee," reports the Mirror. Ben shared a touching moment from his family life, saying: "Sam came home from travelling, which was very, very emotional."
"He's been away for seven and a half months, off to university next week, back to school for many today as well," Ben added.
