The acting director of the Office of Management and Budget requested the congressional funding in a letter that warned additional money may be needed.
for an additional $10 billion in funding to continue aiding Ukraine amid Russia's invasion, as well as another $22.5 billion in funding for resources in the nation's response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The request comes as Congress has just a little over a week left to produce and pass a government funding bill by the March 11 deadline. Failure to do so could result in a government shutdown and leave federal agencies without the resources they need for projects and priorities. The letter stated that the U.S. is"committed to supporting the Ukrainian people as they defend their country and democracy."
