The biggest difference in Kenny Pickett's game is his ability, shown throughout the preseason, to make 'big-time' throws to all areas of the field. He's also getting multiple receivers involved in the offense based on making the correct reads. These splash-play connections, which were sorely missing in Pickett’s rookie season, could make all the difference in 2023. But only if KP can continue this upward trend in the regular season.
All of the above are reasons to proceed with caution and take Kenny Pickett’s perfect preseason passer rating with a grain of salt. Reserving judgment on how far Pickett can progress in Year 2 until the games count, opponents actually game-plan and the defenses adjust to Pickett’s proclivities is probably the wisest way to approach the Steelers’ 2023 season.

Unstoppable? The Steelers’ offense? We haven’t heard those words in the same sentence since the heydays of the Killer Bs: Big Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell.
