Blackpool New Hacketts hotel fire latest as roads remain shut and investigation continues
Roads in Blackpool remain closed this morning after a devastating fire ripped through a derelict hotel.
Traffic monitoring website, INRIX, said: "A584 Queen's Promenade in both directions closed due to building fire from Empress Drive to Dickson Road . Gynn Avenue is also closed. Roads were closed around 14:00 Monday Afternoon." "Our priorities at the moment are preventing the fire spread into adjoining properties. We've got a high level of assurance that we've achieved this. However, investigations are still ongoing and we're using thermal imaging camera and breathing apparatus teams to make sure that that fire spread is prevented.
