Bob Odenkirk pays tribute to Saturday Night Live legend Chris Farley with a touching story about when the two worked together at Second City. 'Every time I did [Motivational Speaker] was the most fun I had in show business.' 💙 Full story here:

Bob Odenkirk paid tribute to Saturday Night Live legend Chris Farley with a touching story about their time working together. Farley was first known for his comedic stylings for Chicago's Second City Theater and later as a cast member on SNL from 1990 to 1995, which pushed him into superstardom. The comedian soon starred in movies such as Airheads, Tommy Boy, and Beverley Hills Ninja before passing away from a drug overdose in 1997.

While eating hot wings and chatting with host Sean Evans on Hot Ones, Odenkirk began reminiscing about seeing Farley's comedic potential from the first time they met on Second City. Odenkirk, who previously criticized one of Farley's most famous SNL sketches for reaffirming the comedian's negative beliefs about himself and his body image, also said that the most fun he's had in show business was working with Farley on comedy sketches at Second City.

Chris is this guy, you know, Jack Black, Chris Farley, these are people who when people go "That guy's got somethin," I'm like "Yeah, really, you think? Who f***ing can't tell, that he's the sh*t.

The sketch that Odenkirk was referring to with Matt Foley was one of a litany of iconic SNL characters that Farley was able to bring to life. The sketch was quintessential Farley, as the comedian was able to use his over-the-top style of humor, his excellent physical comedy skills, and his ability to make certain lines stick in the mind of audiences, such as Foley's constant reminder to the other characters that he was "living in a van down by the river.

Farley was one of many SNL alums to become a movie star, carrying several comedy films with his star power, the most successful of which was 1995's Tommy Boy. Farley's stunt comedy was one of his calling cards, but his ability to bring such energy to his characters while maintaining the sweet charm that made him so easy to root for was his greatest asset as an actor and comedian.
