The series, set to premiere on March 19, seems to follow something of a pattern when it comes to the professor’s interactions with the people around him. No matter who he’s encountered, he just can’t seem to be able to bite his tongue. “Tenure doesn’t mean you can’t get smacked in the face,” one of his colleagues warns him. Fittingly, the next clip in the preview finds Professor Devereau having his nose torn by the binding of a spiral notebook. But even then, he can’t keep his mouth shut.
After pleading for the woman holding the notebook to gently let it go, she hesitates, adding that it has original work in it. “Not if its yours,” he responds seconds before the bloody rip.
