While Boba Fett is commonly associated with The Empire Strikes Back, the character debuted as a cartoon in the Star Wars Holiday Special in 1978. Even before The Empire Strikes Back premiered, Boba Fett had already become somewhat of a icon, due to its unique armor revealed by toys.
