The body of a woman has been found in Edinburgh during a search for a missing Lanarkshire woman. The body is yet to be formally identified however, the family of Anne Green have been made aware.
The body of a woman was tragically found in Edinburgh during a search for Anne Green, who was last seen in the city centre area on the morning of March 5.
Anne, 61, from Chryston, was believed to have travelled by train to Edinburgh however, her movements were unknown thereafter.READ MORE: Three teen thugs caught on camera carrying out murder bid on 13-year-old schoolboy There is yet to be formal identification but the family of Anne Green have been made aware - there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "The body of a woman has been found in Edinburgh during an investigation into a missing woman from Chryston."There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
